This bracelet is substantial, weighty, and feels amazing on your wrist. The focal point is a hefty disc of gold adorned with a sweet little sun on one side, and a night sky on the other. Hand-forged and hand-engraved. Finished with a handmade clasp closure. All SCS certified recycled gold. This is a piece to wear anywhere and everywhere, for all your days.
The inspiration: I've named this bracelet after the incomparably beautiful Joni Mitchell song, Both Sides Now. A song about the duality of life, the poignancy of love and loss, the grief, beauty, and joy of being alive...
This design is also inspired by the concept and dynamism of polarity. The tension between opposites is what creates the energy field, the power. Within, without. Day, night. Light, shadow. In holding the tension and bearing witness to both sides, we allow the middle way to emerge, moving beyond duality; creating agency & freedom.
As you wear this bracelet every day, you will notice that the centre design naturally flips from top to bottom and back, and thus you are reminded throughout the days, that there are two sides to every coin, a choice at each fork in the road of life...
Handmade in our goldsmithing workshop on the north shore of Lake Superior, in Canada, just for you. Your talisman ships approximately 3-6 weeks after receipt of your order if it is an all gold design. If it includes a custom sourced stone, add 3 weeks.
