Freyja Ring - Pear Sapphire

Each Freyja ring is hand-fabricated using ancient goldsmithing techniques in a timeless, signet-inspired design. A magical pear cut sapphire pairs beautifully with a substantial, weighty ring band that broadens to embrace the centre stone and tapers at the back for comfort. Handcrafted using SCS certified recycled 14 karat gold. This solitaire pairs perfectly with the Stria Band. I wear my Freyja with two Stria bands, known as a trilogy stack in traditional commitment jewelry. The three rings represent past, present, and future - with the bezel set solitaire symbolizing the present moment, the most precious moment in any journey. 

Shown here with a natural and untreated green Montana sapphire, ethically mined using earth friendly practices from the Eldorado Bar of the Missouri River in Montana. This stone measures approx. 6.5mm x 5mm and weighs in at 0.9 carats. Please note: we will custom source a similar stone for your ring after your order is placed, and can also find a sapphire in a different hue. We work with known origin, ethical sapphires from Australia, Montana, and Sri Lanka. Sapphires occur naturally in a rainbow of different colours, and can be sourced in all shapes and sizes. We will follow up with specific stone options once your order is placed. The price listed here is for a centre stone up to 1 carat in size; larger stones may incur additional charges.

The inspiration: Freyja is the Norse goddess of love, fertility, desire, and gold. She is a völva; a practitioner of ancient Norse magic, or seiðr. Considered an enchantress, a shaman, and a shapeshifter, she’s been known to change forms to a bird of prey using a pair of hawk feathers. Freyja knows the fates of all - a heavy burden, and yet she pursues a life of pleasure and embodiment.

Handmade in our goldsmithing workshop on the north shore of Lake Superior, in Canada, just for you. Your talisman ships approximately 3-6 weeks after receipt of your order if it is an all gold design. If it includes a custom sourced stone, add 3 weeks. We will reach out with stone options within 3-5 business days.
